These powerful beings are not only on hand when the need is greatest, but are also responsible for punishing injustice. They have only one commandment: to protect nature! Even as children, the inhabitants of the Tyrolean Alps learn the legends of the Salige Fräulein – fascinating stories of beings who occasionally descend from the mountains to help farmers and share their knowledge of herbs, milk processing and much more. But beware: these mysterious Saligen can also trigger avalanches and mudslides! They are particularly present in the legends of our Ötztal Alps. And because the preservation of breathtaking nature is a top priority at the Grünerhof, a painting of the three Saligen even adorns the walls of our house. They not only protect our house, but also our guests!
