Timmelsjoch
High up to the pass
For a truly special mountain and driving experience, take a trip across the Timmelsjoch. The impressive high alpine road is considered one of Tyrol’s most beautiful panoramic routes, with breathtaking views unfolding around every bend.
The Grünerhof Hotel is located directly along the route, making it an ideal starting point for this unforgettable excursion. The Timmelsjoch, affectionately known as the “Timmel”, is a mountain pass on the Austrian-Italian border at 2,474 metres above sea level. It connects the Ötztal with the Passeier Valley and separates the Ötztal Alps from the Stubai Alps.

Holders of the Ötztal Inside Summer Card can use the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road free of charge by public bus.
